yay the rain

if ever it decides to rain when i'm about to sleep late at night whilst the whole house is already asleep long before, i rather it pour like cats and dogs than to drizzle with pitter patter.

if it pours like cats and dogs, i can tell with utmost confidence that the sounds i hear are just heavy heavy droplets of water on all surfaces of the house and on the ground. then i feel safe.

but when it drizzles, the paranoia in me kicks in, and i begin thinking that there's someone or something prawling and crawling atop my roof. what are those light tapping noises? that scratching sound? burglars ready to pounce? cats with nothing to do? rats with no where to stay? then i get scared as i get out of bed to check downstairs and peek outside the windows.

ahhhhhhh but sleep definitely goes hand-in-hand with a heavy downpour of rain. i love falling asleep whilst listening to the rain. there's something about the rain that soothes you..isn't there?
